The Lenovo manufacturer has unveiled a new laptop for professionals. The ThinkPad W520, thus it is called, is a 15.6-inch laptop that takes advantage of new Intel chips Sandy Bridge engraved in 32 nanometers. It was a choice between the Core i7 processor double heart-2620m 2.7 / 3.4 GHz processor or quadruple heart-Core i7 2720QM 2.2 / 3.3 GHz supported by 4 / 6 / 8 GB of DDR3 RAM -1333 over two slots.
Lenovo offers a double portion Intel GMA HD / nVIDIA Quadro 1000M with Optimus technology to switch between the two as needed, through which it feeds its LCD panel backlight LED benefits from an anti-reflective and may display in a resolution 1366 x 768 or 1600 x 900 pixels.
It also offers high-definition sound reproduction, the wired Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN 802.11n Wi-Fi, 3G mobile network, a fingerprint reader, a webcam duo HD 720p + microphone for videoconferencing and a touchpad or a joystick for aiming at the screen.
On the menu, finally, a storage space in RAID 0 or RAID 1 based on hard drives of 320 / 500 GB 7200 rpm or SSD 128 / 160 GB, DVD burner, USB 2.0 connectivity and Bluetooth 3.0. All orchestrated by the operating system Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional and powered by a 6 or 9 cell battery.
It is expected to arrive soon with a basic version sold around for 1500 euros.
