Sega today announced the development of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, an improved and expanded version of Virtua Fighter 5, which will come as a downloadable game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, through PlayStation Network and Xbox Live respectively.
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, with mechanical balance and animations completely renovated, and new game modes, new dynamic environments, a large collection of articles and two new character customization.
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is the final version of VF5, and includes features never seen before on consoles:
- The perfect fighting experience: the style of grappling Virtua Fighter 5 is its hallmark, with mechanics, timing and balance checked, along with simplified controls for new players, keeping the best experience for the veterans.
- Dynamic and interactive scenarios: Scenarios with new sizes and aspects, including fields with fences and walls, different for each round, allowing the fighters to take an unexpected beating his rival against these elements.
- One way for every fight: Master the leaderboards with Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown and online battle mode, praised for having very low latency, or end with dozens of enemies in the new single-player mode.
- Custom Fighters: Step into the ring with one of 19 playable characters, including Taka Arashi Virtua Fighter 3 and a new character, Jean Kujo, and customize them with costumes and unique items.
