Apple has purchased equipment to produce curved displays, perhaps destined for the next iPhone 5.
What Apple’s going to do the 200 to 300 machines in specialized glass cutting, which are currently stored on the assembly sites waiting to go into production lines?
According to the sources, Apple had introduce the design of curved displays for future iPhone 5. It would now settle the details of the manufacture of these curved screens before launching mass production. Apple would work with suppliers on the glass slab, cut out and the integration of touch technology, to achieve the best possible returns in terms of quality required.
According to same sources, these screens are curved for the future model of the iPhone but could also be found in other products such as iPods. As for the iPhone in question, is it the pattern expected by the end of the year or a successor in 2012.
