Rare’s Everwild Gets New Trailer at Xbox Showcase

Microsoft has shared a new trailer for Everwild, Rare’s upcoming game. The trailer does not contain extensive gameplay images, but shows a magical game world. The game will be released on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC, but has no release date yet.

Everwild's Latest Trailer

The trailer was shown at the Xbox Games Showcase. The new trailer does not show gameplay details, so it is not yet clear how the game will play out. However, the game seems to focus on exploration. In Everwild, gamers play as an ‘Eternal’ in a natural game world full of magical creatures. The game has a striking graphic style with cell-shaded graphics, which are somewhat similar to that of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Everwild is made by Rare, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2002. The studio is known for its Banjo-Kazooie and the first Goldeneye 007 game for the Nintendo 64, among others. In 2016, the studio released pirate game Sea of Thieves.

Microsoft first showed Everwild in November at its X019 event. It is not yet clear when the game will be released. It is known that the game will be released for Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Windows 10. Everwild will also be part of Xbox Game Pass.
