Qualcomm announces Snapdragon 732G for mid-range mobiles

Qualcomm Evolves Mobile SoC has announced Snapdragon 700 Series with New Versatile Snapdragon 732G Member. The Snapdragon 700 series has an intermediate position between the high-end (Snadragon 800) and the mid-range (Snapdragon 600) and relies on its artificial intelligence platform and the integration of part of the gaming functions of the Snapdragon Elite Gaming environment to try to make a difference.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC

After a Snapdragon 730 / 730G SoC launched in early 2019, the Qualcomm group unveils its evolution with the Snapdragon 732G coming to occupy the same territory of mid-range 4G smartphones with advanced functions.

The main improvements relate to the passage to a rate of 2.3 GHz of the Kryo 470 Prime cores (instead of 2.2 GHz) still engraved in 8 nm and on an Adreno 618 GPU with improved rendering performance.

In addition to certain integrated gaming functions, the Snapdragon 732G still benefits from a 4th generation Qualcomm IA Engine platform which will intervene both for the photo part and to optimize the autonomy of smartphones.

The SoC is 4G compatible and features a Snapdragon X15 modem similar to that of the Snapdragon 730G. As we can see, the novelties are minimal but Qualcomm is already announcing a partnership with the Poco brand which will therefore be the first to benefit from it.

This will undoubtedly be the Poco X3 whose technical sheet has been leaked in recent days on social networks. It will feature a large 6.67-inch FHD + 120Hz display and a 64-megapixel main photo sensor (four sensors on the back), with a 5160mAh battery and 33W fast charging.
