Panasonic has announced the expansion of its line of laptops strengthened with the arrival of a new Toughbook 53. Equipped with a hull made from magnesium for resistance to falls from a height of about 75 centimeters, it is a 14 inch laptop operating under Windows 7 Professional Edition.
This carbide with an Intel Core i3-2310M 2.1 GHz or an Intel Core i5-2520M 2.5 / 3.2GHz (Turbo Boost) coupled to DDR3 RAM (2 GB and 4 GB core with i3 i5; up to 8 GB). It has an advantage of a view in a resolution i.e. 1366 x 768 pixels (with the possibility of touch i5), ensures sound reproduction through two stereo speakers, provides connectivity wired Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11n and 3G or 4G mobile network, has Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity for use of wireless devices.
The program also VGA / HDMI for use with an external display, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam and internal microphone for videoconferencing, a fingerprint reader, spill-resistant keyboard and a box of water large multitouch and a storage internal hard drive 320GB (5400 rpm with Core i3; 7200 rpm with i5) or 128 GB SSD, DVD burner, a floppy SDXC compatible memory cards, USB 3.0, three USB 2.0 ports and a FireWire connector.
It is ensured by a battery promising up to 6 hours of battery in the case of the Core i3 (4500 mAh battery) or 10 hours in the case of the i5 ( 6750 mAh battery).
It will take 1,899 dollars for the basic version with Intel Core i5 and it will be available from June and 1599 dollars for the basic version with Intel Core i3 scheduled for August.
