Microsoft’s Surface Duo has passed through the hands of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a mandatory step before marketing. The certification document allows you to retrieve some additional information on the technical sheet. We have confirmation that 5G is not on the program, that it manages 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi and that it has Bluetooth and NFC.
A dual screen and an adapted interface
As for the other features, we already know that it has two 5.6-inch screens that can be used together or independently and that it will work with the Microsoft Launcher interface. “Surface Duo brings together the best of Microsoft productivity experiences, Android apps and Surface hardware design in one device you can take anywhere,” Microsoft explained. The objective is to offer a device that perfectly exploits the tools and software developed by the Redmond firm.
Remember that Samsung is preparing a new smartphone that uses this format, but with a folding screen. The Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be announced on August 5, at the Samsung Unpacked conference.
