Lenovo introduces the Legion Slim 7i, a thin and light 15.6inch gaming laptop that features a GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q video card and up to a Core i9-10980HK processor. The manufacturer says it is the lightest laptop with RTX video card.
According to Lenovo, the cooling is designed in such a way that the video card can do its job at maximum clock speed without throttling for a long time. There are two fans in the case and they are larger than in previous thin Legion laptops. Lenovo has also made the heatsink thicker.
The maximum configuration includes a Core i9-10980HK processor, 2TB of NVME SSDs in RAID 0 and 32GB RAM. The 18mm thick housing contains a 71Wh battery and on the side are two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt. There are probably USB-A connections and an HDMI port at the back. Lenovo has not shown an image of that.
Lenovo will supply the laptop with different 15.6-inch panels. There is a choice of full HD panels with a refresh rate of 60Hz or 144Hz and a 4k panel that can display the full Adobe RGB color space.
The Lenovo Legion Slim The 7i will have a starting price of 1299 euros and will be available from October, but it has not been disclosed what specifications buyers will receive for that money.
