Green House announces the introduction of its secure USB key PicoDrive VC that provides protection against virus attacks and unauthorized access. After unveiling there is little building on a USB drive performance, compatibility with USB 3.0 allowing spikes to 120 MB / s read phase, Green House has just released a USB key that puts it on the emphasis on data security it conveys, the PicoDrive VC.
Since the removable storage medium sized 6.1 x 5.9 x 2 inches which weights around 9 grams, provides protection against infection and protection against unauthorized access. The primary protection is provided by a signed Trend Micro antivirus solution that is preinstalled and the second by a hardware encryption AES 256-bit real time.
But nothing has filtered about the performance of this device. Only one USB 2.0 compatibility has been mentioned. It will therefore not expect a beast race, knowing that the standard in question provides a theoretical maximum speed of 60 MB / s which is very often far from being achieved.
We have the choice between four capacities 2, 4, 8 and 16 GB, with the smallest model sold around 55 euros and the largest model that will be displayed at about 170 euros.
