Google Pixel 5 May Only Launch in XL Variant

This year, Google Pixel 5 smartphone would be the one to represent the new generation and it would in XL version. While having recently announced the Pixel 4a , Google is already preparing the sequel with a Pixel 4a 5G variant and especially a Pixel 5 which will be unveiled during the month of October.

Usually, the Mountain View giant launches its benchmark smartphones in pairs, with a standard model and an XL version. The global coronavirus crisis and perhaps a change in strategy should be a game-changer this year with a single model launched to represent the 5th generation.

We already know that it will not ship the most high-end SoC of the moment but rather a mid-range Snapdragon 765G processor which will nevertheless provide it with 5G compatibility.

And with a 6.67-inch AMOLED diagonal panel , it appears that the Pixel 5 for the month of October will undoubtedly be the XL version of the model, even if this mention will not be indicated and that it will therefore constitute “the” Pixel 5. It might offer 120Hz screen refresh, like some premium smartphones, and it has so far been spotted with 8GB of RAM (down from 6GB on the Pixel 4s).

Google Pixel 5 expected to come in only XL variant with 765G variant priced at $699, that is to say between $499 for Pixel 4a and $799 dollars for the Pixel 4. The Pixel 4a and Pixel 5 may debut together in October in India.
