Although Coby booth at CES 2011 is crowded with tablets of any size and features, our eye has fallen on netbooks also, until last year as key elements in any technology fair. The fashion of the moment (no doubt) is given by the digital pad from 7 to 10 inches, with Android or Windows 7 touchscreen. Netbooks, however, salute the market gradually pulled after a couple of years, sales of the largest companies in the industry.
Coby but decided not to give up on this segment of the market and the opportunity to launch a new netbook, Coby NBPC1029, quite different from the usual models made by the company. The hardware configuration does not contain new compared to the versions currently on the market, but it is worth describing. Coby NBPC1029 has a 10.2 inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor and 160GB hard drive with 1GB of RAM.
The connectivity module uses a 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 0.3 megapixel webcam and a 3-cell 2200mAh battery. The operating system is Windows 7 Starter Edition. The design is organized on lines sharp and dry, large keyboard and wide elements with silver piping around the touchpad and button bar selection. We have no information on the price.
