The Taiwanese manufacturer Asus is preparing to launch its Eee PC netbooks Eee PC 1015B and 1215B, both seen at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and based on the new platform, low-power AMD Brazos.
The Asus Eee PC 1015B
Operating under Windows 7 starter, this 10.1-inch netbook has a single processor AMD heart Ontario C-30 1.2 GHz or AMD dual heart Zacate C-50 1.0 GHz, 1 or 2 GB of RAM DDR3 A chipset supports DirectX 11 Radeon HD behind the screen in 1024 x 600 pixels or any device connected to HDMI / VGA, HD audio chipset powering its two stereo speakers or any external device in 3.5 mm a controller wired Fast Ethernet network module and a wireless Wi-Fi 802.11n.
The program also incorporated a 0.3 Megapixel webcam, a microphone, keyboard Chiclet, a hard disk with a capacity of 250, 320 or 500 GB, a memory card reader supports MMC / SD, three USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 2.1 or 3.0.
All with a range of up to 8 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the battery, the configuration and use.
The Asus Eee PC 1215B
It’s the same device but with the operating system Windows 7 Home Premium at the controls, a 12.1-inch managing a resolution 1366 x 768 pixels, the dual processor AMD heart Zacate E-350 at 1.6 GHz more among the available processors and memory of 2 or 4 GB.
As for autonomy, it can reach 8 hours, depending on configuration and usage.
Price and Availability
These netbooks will be available from next April. Now remains to discover the prices on the Old Continent. Can be expected starting price of the respective located around 300 and 400 euros.
