Asus announced its portable ROG Strix XG16 monitor this week. This screen has a diagonal of 15.6-inch and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Asus does not yet announce when the screen will come in the market and what will be its recommended price.
The ROG Strix XG16 has a 15.6-inch-IPs panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen offers also Free Sync support. According to the sources, the screen has a 1080p resolution. Among other things, the monitor has a micro HDMI connection, with which the screen can be connected to a console or PC.
The XG16 can also be linked to a smartphone or Nintendo Switch via USB-C. The XG16 has a 7800mAh battery that is charged via a second USB-C connector. Asus claims that the battery life is up to three hours. The screen has two speakers on the front and also has a connection for headphones.
Earlier this year, Asus released a portable 17.3-inch gaming monitor. This ROG Strix XG17 has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 240Hz with FreeSync. That screen has a suggested retail price of around 600 euros.
