AppleInsider reports some analyst forecasts based on industry sources Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities, usually well informed. It’s the same man, in fact, to have revealed in advance that Apple would adopt an IPS screen resolution 960 x 640 pixels for the iPhone 4. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, iPad 3 Retina integrate a display with doubled resolution than the predecessor, that is 2048 x 1536 pixels. The size will always be of 9.7 inches, with IPS technology.
The second generation of tablet, expected in the coming weeks, you may not use this new type of display due to limited production at the time. On the other hand, this panel will be equipped with anti-glare technology to make the best use of the device even in extremely bright or open areas with direct sunlight. Kuo also reveals the existence of a new device iOS under review by Apple, which could be launched in the second half of the year.
The device should have a screen size intermediate between iPhone and iPad, iPod Touch or a giant iPad Nano. Despite the doubts in adopting a 7-inch display, Apple might be tempted by the production of a device with a screen between 3.5 inches and 9.7 inches. This iPad Nano will be in direct competition with the small tablet, such as Dell Streak 5:07 and Samsung Galaxy Tab , but without undermining the popularity of the iPad.
