Lenovo prepares to update its range of ultra-thin 11.6-inch notebook. It seems like Lenovo is in a mood to surprise everyone out there. The company is planning to introduce a new device named as ThinkPad X130e, it will feature a new, more ruggedized design with a stronger keyboard, a rubber bumper on the lid, a stronger bezel and hinges, and stronger corners. The renewal of the range of Lenovo ThinkPad ultraportable is set for next December, a period in which new models will be launched with Android, along with second generation ultrabooks.
Lenovo ThinkPad X130e has a different design from its predecessor, with most resistant and waterproof keyboard (impermeable to water and other liquids), a rubberized coating on the display-lid, hinges more robust and less rounded corners and round. Lenovo ThinkPad X130e 11.6-inch model weighs less than 4 pounds and its battery offer eight hours of video playback or up to 10 hours of web browsing.
It features Windows 7 with a 1.3GHz Intel Core i3-2357 (or AMD APU E-350) CPU on the top of the line model with up to 4GB of RAM and hard disk (up to) 320GB.
The new model will likely be unveiled in December, but no pricing information is available yet.
