Konami Announces Birds of Steel

Konami Entertainment announces by press release Birds of Steel, a new aerial combat title based on the Second World War, and whose development is being carried out by Gaijin Entertainment. Birds of Steel will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in early 2012.

Birds of Steel is a simulation game where you can recreate some of the most decisive air battles of World War II as the Battle of Midway, Guadalcanal, the Sea of ‚Äč‚ÄčKorea, the historic attack on Pearl Harbour, the Isle of Malta The Battle of the Ruhr Basin, and many more. Players can select the range of detail you want for each campaign and choose from the wide range of scenarios available for both a player and multiplayer option.

Birds of Steel features 20 historical missions or fictional, including eight world-famous campaigns, with access to 100 models of aviation forces both sides. Each campaign allows selecting the most appropriate model. They have all been recreated in full detail with particular attention to its ability to maneuver, and weapons capacity. The classic Spirfire, the P-51 D Mustang, and the Messerschmitt 109 and are ready for battle and the player only has to choose between them depending on whether you fight on the side of the allies or the forces of axis.

The new title provides a high level of detail, recreating weather conditions that accompanied each battle and would reproduce the effects that a plane hit by the enemy whose handling would be affected.
