SEGA announces this afternoon, the development of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II. The continuation of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I, which will be on sale during the next year as a downloadable game for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Android, IOS and Windows Phone.
Bethesda has today released the first demo for RAGE onto Xbox Live. PS3 owners will be able to download the demo on December 6th. Bethesda’s launched a RAGE taster on Xbox Live Marketplace, nearly two months after the full game released. According to the demo description on the download, which is 2.03 gigabytes by the way, Rage will be discounted to just $29.99 between November 25th and November 27th at GameStop and other participating retailers.
Rockstar Games unveil the first details of the Max Payne 3 Special Edition for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Max Payne 3 Special Edition will retail for $99.99 in North America and is available for pre-order from now until January 15, 2012 while supplies last.
After many, many months of hard work, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the Starhawk Private Beta will be live on PSN beginning Tuesday, November 22nd! According to Sony, the Private beta invites will be rolled out over a number of weeks leading up to Christmas and the New year, so if you miss the first round it is likely you will still get in before the year is out.
Electronic Arts and BioWare has revealed the official Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector’s Edition. This is a special edition of the game that features exclusive bonus content and unlockable items.
City Interactive has revealed the first details for Enemy Front, a FPS currently in works with ex-Codemasters developer Stuart Black as lead designer. The company’s ambitious new game project being developed on the CryENGINE 3 game engine for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Koch Media and Deep Silver officially release the downloadable content pack for Dead Island Bloodbath Arena. The DLC pack, which will be free for those that preordered the game, it will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC from November 23 for 800 Microsoft Points / £6.99.
Playdead Games have revealed that Limbo has sold over one million copies worldwide across Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3. Limbo has managed over a million copies sold since its launch on July 20, 2011. The game has been sold in 153 different countries and has been translated into nine languages. A Mac version will also be available before the end of the year.
Capcom has announced Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection for PlayStation 3, a new compilation that will include high-definition versions of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, both of which were originally released on Nintendo Wii in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Both games feature scenarios from previous titles in the series including, among others, Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica. For now, release dates and pricing are yet to be confirmed.
Activision has officially announced the development of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, a new set of Transformers franchise, a sequel to War for Cybertron, developed by High Moon Studios.
