Battlefield 3 is just about a week away from release, but according to numerous reports the PC version of Battlefield 3 has been leaked on various torrent sites. The multiplayer does not work in the leaked version. The leaked copy is around 10 GB and allow gamers to play single player campaign.
The torrent build is in Russia, but supports other languages such as English and Spanish. Hackers have yet to foil this anti-piracy protection, but, as we saw with Ubisoft’s restrictive DRM, for example, it’s just a matter of time until they find a way to circumvent it.
There has been no official statement by Electronic Arts nor DICE on the issue, but hopefully it doesn’t hurt the company very badly. Battlefield 3 is out for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 25, in North America, and October 28, in Europe.
