The Lenovo LePad K2, based on Nvidia’s Tegra platform 3, was tested using GLBenchmark.  The result was surprising.  It looks like someone’s been running benchmarks on the next-generation Lenovo tablet. When you run the GL Benchmark using the free edition the results are submitted to a public community database for the world to see.

Capcom has announced Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection for PlayStation 3, a new compilation that will include high-definition versions of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, both of which were originally released on Nintendo Wii in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Both games feature scenarios from previous titles in the series including, among others, Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica. For now, release dates and pricing are yet to be confirmed.

After the introduction of the Nexus Prime Android 4.0 smartphone, Samsung and Google are expected to launch its first Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” phone in Hong Kong on October 19. The two companies are reportedly heading to Asia for their biggest announcement of the year–in Hong Kong on October 19. The reason for the delay was the death of Steve Jobs, the company found it inappropriate to do another big iPhone competitor bring on the day of the funeral of the former CEO of Apple.

Acer has announced its first Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) Smartphone named “Acer Allegro”, which will run on Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system. The company is planning to introduce its new Acer Allegro Smartphone by the end of December in Europe before Christmas at a recommended retail price of EUR 299.

Motorola has launched a new smartphone called Motorola Atrix 2, which is equipped with the Android operating system. According to the latest rumours, it has been revealed that the phone would be up for grabs from October 16. The original Atrix was released at the beginning of this year at CES 2011, and was among the first phones with a Tegra 2 SoC.

LG Electronics in South Korea has launched a new smartphone called Optimus LTE on the market which supports 4G networks. The company hopes soon to embrace this new technology to achieve more sales. The mobile division of LG is indeed the third of the world but are suffering in competition with Samsung and HTC. The new smartphone joins the small line of 4G mobile handsets currently available in the world and sports an Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system.
