Over 130 government websites were hacked during the first three months of 2012, Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot said on Wednesday.

“As per incidents reported to and tracked by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), 133 government Web sites were hacked during January to March 2012,” Mr Pilot said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

Mobile phone users will now be able to send upto 200 SMSes per day as the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Tuesday raised the earlier imposed cap of 100 messages following requests from telcos and consumers. The previous rule of 100 sms per day per sim (effeted from 27th October) is raised to 200 sms per day per sim.
