Building on the momentum of its current line of solid state hybrid drives (SSHD), Seagate Technology plc (NASDAQ:STX) has announced it will begin shipping its third-generation of SSHD products. Featuring the Seagate Laptop SSHD, 7mm-high Seagate Laptop Thin SSHD designed for the thinnest and lightest laptops in the industry, and the all-new Seagate Desktop SSHD, the line of drives will deliver blazing-fast performance and high-capacity at an affordable price.
HP’s support website has revealed two new ultrabooks – the 15.6″ Envy 6 and 14″ Envy 4. The Envy 4 is expected to have similar characteristics, with smaller screen as the main difference. The HP ENVY 6 will be a 15.6” screen Ultrabook with Intel Core i5 processor while the ENVY 4 will be a slightly smaller 14” screen Ultrabook.
HP Australia has introduced the first American company ultrabook. According to the RitchiesRoom site, the new thin and light laptop has a 13.3 inch display and it’s called the HP Folio. It’s reportedly a reworked Pavilion dm3 chassis, which is also confirmed by the inscription of that very name on the inside of its lid, ostensibly making the Folio moniker an exercise in superfluous branding.
Lenovo prepares to update its range of ultra-thin 11.6-inch notebook. It seems like Lenovo is in a mood to surprise everyone out there. The company is planning to introduce a new device named as ThinkPad X130e, it will feature a new, more ruggedized design with a stronger keyboard, a rubber bumper on the lid, a stronger bezel and hinges, and stronger corners. The renewal of the range of Lenovo ThinkPad ultraportable is set for next December, a period in which new models will be launched with Android, along with second generation ultrabooks.

With its shiny gold plating and diamond-encrusted Apple logo, the MacBook Pro is no doubt qualified already as a luxury PC. It will be showed from 10-13 October in Dubai at the Gitex conference.
Acer has no plans for the moment, to announce any notebooks based on ARM processors. The Taiwanese giant, in fact, decided to wait for the official launch of Windows 8. The consequence of this decision has been made more concrete at the annual meeting with the IFA in Berlin, where the manufacturer has confirmed these intentions.
