Asus has unveiled its concept Padfone. This is a smartphone running Android 3.0 Gingerbread environment that can work independently or being installed in the rear hatch of a touch pad which host becomes the engine.
One can then imagine using only when the smartphone is just switched voice calls and send SMS or use touch pad with its host when it wishes to surf the Internet, reading digital content and play a little. In the second case, the smartphone also took the opportunity to refuel with the largest capacity battery that is embedded in the touch pad.
Then the technical side, the smartphone features a 4.3 inch LCD touch screen multitouch, a small speaker, a headphone jack, compatibility with mobile 2G / 3G connectivity, WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11n Function hotspot, a GPS chip, an electronic compass, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, a microSD memory card slot / microSDHC, USB 2.0 connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1.
So far no details had been revealed in the European market for now. So we have to wait a bit for those interested in the device.
