Verizon Wireless at CES announced the opening of a dedicated sales network to LTE solutions. The project started in December 2010, but the show in Las Vegas is already rich in compatible devices. The hardware manufacturers, in fact, have various products including USB sticks 4G LTE, LTE smartphone or tablet even incorporating a modem for cellular networks LTE. Acer, which revealed its strategy to conquer the market for touchscreen tablet in November 2010, could not miss this event.

The Taiwanese company has announced its touchscreen tablet, Acer Icon Tab A500, introduced at CES 2011 with the support of Verizon Wireless. But what are the specifications of this device? Icon Tab A500 will have a 10.1 inch display (up to 10 contact points) with Google Android operating system associated with a custom interface UI Acer 4.5. The tablet integrates a dual core processor Nvidia Tegra 2 1 GHz frequency, capable of decoding HD video at 1080p and play them on a large screen outside thanks to the HDMI port.

The module integrated LTE on Acer A500 Tab icon is signed by the Chinese group ZTE. Acer is also proposed, as on all the latest mobile products, a system for sharing multimedia content on your home network, called Crear.fi.
